{Made by Me} Monday - Minnie Mouse

This year I decided to make Mimi's halloween costume.

She wanted to be Minnie Mouse and I thought that would be easy enough to do.

I just made a simple peasant dress, that way she can wear it again.

Nowadays, it's unreal to spend $20 and up for something your kids will

wear for just one day! Crazy!

I have yet to decide to make Bub his costume or not. He has his mind set on a

costume he already wants. Not sure if i'm gonna be able to make that

for him in time. =/

Tonight was my first attempt at making cake pops.

I think they turned out pretty good for my first try. :)

I made these along with some cupcakes for my sister's birthday tomorrow.

For the flower, I used an easy no sew tutorial HERE.

Then I just glued it onto a headband I already had.

Super easy and cute.

I love it. Maybe because I can wear it too.

I made a few hair clips for Mimi.

Simple and cute. :)

Whipped up a mini organizer for the car.

Not too big, but good to put a few things in for the kids and

books to entertain them when they get bored. :)

[Made by Me] Monday - Totoro...?


So, I was looking online at Amigurumi's on flickr (I LOVE these!) and Mimi saw one of Totoro.
She immediately said, "Ooohh Totoro! I want that! Mommy can you make that for me?"

Great....lol! I told her I didn't have that color fabric. Then she started to beg........O-M-G. Seriously?
I finally gave in and made one for her. He's not grey and kinda crooked, but she loves him.
As long as she's happy, right? >_<

[Made By Me] Monday - Onigiri Keychain


I was inpired by an Owl Keychain I received from one of my swaps on swap-bot, so I decided to try and make one myself.

It didn't come out as nice as I would have liked, but it's still cute. I think I should have used a more sturdy fabric. >_<




As you can see, my key is a bit to HUGE for it. LOL!

[Made by Me] Monday - Coin Purses & a Bat Zombie

Tonight I made a bunch of coin purses.

Made a few "Love Japan" coin purses for the Etsy shop. The letters didn't come out how I wanted them to, but I guess it adds a grungy look to it.




I also made coin purses for Bub and Mimi. They collect loose change they find around the house and G-Ma told them to ask mommy to make coin purses for them. So I did. :P






Whenever I sew, the kids always ask me to make them something. So tonight I told Bub to draw something and I would try and make it. So he did. He drew a "Bat Zombie". And mommy had to create it. LOL! >_<

Hey.......it came out pretty good. The wings are a little big though. =/




Mimi wants a kangaroo. Hmmm.....we'll see how that turns out. O_o

[Made by Me] Monday - Baby Bag





My cousin's dad asked me if I could make a baby bag for his neice who is expecting this month.

They're having a boy and naming him, Noah. :)

The bag came out pretty good. I make regular tote bags, so this was a little different. I added a pocket on the outside, and there is a flat pocket and an elastic pocket on the inside. It's very spacious and can hold a ton of stuff. Great for a new mother!

[Made by Me] Monday - Mini Notebooks






Bub and Mimi are always asking for paper to draw on, so I decided to make mini notebooks for them.

I just cut white printer paper and cardstock and stapled them together. Each one has 12 pages. I wanted to add a little cuteness to it, so I used my handcarved stamps on the cover. They can color it in or leave it blank.

Fast. Easy. Simple. :)

{Made by Me] Monday - Handcarved Stamps

I've tried handcarving stamps before, but they never really worked out.

I got a swap-bot package in the mail from a a very nice lady and in it she included this Owl handcarved stamp. :)



I was inspired so I decided to go searching for my carving tools and give it another shot. ;)

This is what I came up with..... A Nori Musubi & Me. :P

I LOVE how they came out! I can't wait to make more! Hehehe...
