Happy Birthday, Bub!

My baby is 8 years old!!!

The 7th was Bub's 8th birthday! :)
We celebrated with his papa (my dad) at CPK for lunch.
That's his favortie place to eat.
Then I took him to Toys R Us so he could
buy something from the birthday money he got.

Then yesterday he had a doctor's appointment,
but after I took him and Mimi to the movies.
We watched Madagascar 3. I thought it was really good.
The kids really liked it. :)

Today we had a family party for Bub's birthday.
He had an "Angry Birds" themed party.
I bought and made decorations, and I made the cake myself.
Spuer proud about that! Hahaha....
He loved it! :)

Hi, there.

Hello.
It's been awhile. :)

I caught a cold this weekend, but still managed to take
the kids to the beach on friday. We've been going to the beach
every weekend for the past few weeks. We usually go on saturday or sunday,
but since it's a holiday weekend, we decided to go on friday.
Plus, every friday they have fireworks. So the kids were excited about that. :)

My uncle bought a paddle board, and now I am totally addicted!
Even the kids are getting into it. :)
It's so much fun! Hehehe...

How's your weekend going so far?

The kids and I stayed home from church today. Bummed about that,
but it's better than getting other people sick with my germs.

I need a Vitamin C IV, but maybe a cold buster from Jamba Juice will do. :)

Blessed Sunday :)

Today was such a blessing.

We had a guest speaker at our church this morning.
I don't want to disclose his information,
but I will tell you that his message was awesome.

It blessed me and made me think of what I am doing with my life.
How I need to really get my stuff together and focus
on what God wants me to do with my life.
How I can bless and help others.

After church, My (step)dad took the kids and I out for lunch and
got the kids a treat. :)

It was really nice speding time together.
The kids love their papa, and enjoy spending time with him.

Oh, and here's a quick OOTD.

Cropped "Jacket" - Thrifted
Peep Toe Sling Backs - Thrifted

Spring Break 2012

Spring break is over.
Today, Bub went back to school.
I'm sad that it was only one week. I wish I could spend more
alone time with the kids, even though they drive me crazy sometimes.
That's kids for ya, right? LOL! :)

Here are some photos of this past week.

Happy Girl's Day

So, for Girl's Day I usually make homemade mochi,
but this year I didn't have time to do it.

I just spent time with the kids. I took them to Ala Moana.
We went to the Disney Store. They were having this "Disney Quest"
game for the kids to play, and they got a little puzzle as the prize.

After that we just ate lunch, then I took them to get shave ice
at the Shimazu Store down the road from our house.
They have the best shave ice! Better than Matsumoto's in my opinion.

=

My dad came over later to cut Bub's hair. It was getting kinda long
and he said he had a hard time seeing in Kenpo.
I also decided to cut Mimi's hair. This was the first time I ever cut the
length of her hair. I cut her bangs before, but never the length.
It's a little shorter than what I wanted, but it'll grow.

This Guy....

This Guy turned 27 today.

Happy Birthday!!

Mikaela and I took daddy out to lunch for his birthday.
We ended up going to Ruby Tuesdays. :)
He was also really happy to get new Oakley sunglasses from
me and the kids.

We walked around the mall, and did a little shopping.
Then we got some shave ice and a bubble tea. Yum. :)

It was an overall good day.

The Secret World of Arrietty

After church, we took the kids to see a Studio Ghibli film,
"The Secret World of Arrietty". It is based on the award winning
novel, "The Borrowers".

I thought it was okay. It's not something that I would
want to watch again and again.

Personally, I think "Ponyo" and "My Neighbor Totoro"
were a lot better. The kids seemed to like it though. :)

Picnic at the park

Today I took the kids to the park.
When we left the house the weather seemed ok.
It was cloudy towards the moutain, but where the park is
it was sunny with blue skies.

When we got to the park it was really windy.
We managed to eat our lunch and the kids got to ride their scooters
for a little bit, but then those dark clouds came and it started to rain. =/

I didn't get a chance to take any pictures today.
Bummer....lol.

Anyway tonight was game night.
I got this Pokemon Monopoly game from the thrift store this
past week for $2.99. Who could pass that up?
It had all the cards and these cute Pokemon character pieces.
The kids love Pokemon, so I thought this was a steal. :)
Isn't the little Pikachu cute? Hehe...

This past weekend was a lot of fun.
We celebrated my little cousin's birthday at Chuck E. Cheese
on saturday and went to the beach on sunday.
The kids had fun. :)

Ohh, and I wanted to try this recipe for peanut butter mochi
that a fellow blogger posted on her blog. (Zakka Inspired)
It turned out yum-o! I made a some filled with nutella too.

I also made some sprinkle heart brownies for my cousin. :)

How was your weekend?

Labor Day Weekend

Hey guys!
I'm kinda late on this, but how was your Labor Day weekend?
Do anything interesting or fun?

As for us, this past weekend was our annual Okinawin Festival.
The kids didn't wanna go, so I ended up going with my mom and sister.
Good times and ono (yummy) food!

For Labor Day we didn't really do anything special.
I just took the kids to Kaka'ako Park.
We had a picnic and they rode their scooters for a bit.
Then we just layed out in the shade under a tree enjoying the time spent together.

Ciao,
Ber
